NOTE: Letter to the Editor Policy
Letters to the Editor can be sent to The Courier
Press, Attn: Editor, P.O. Box 149, Prairie du Chien, Wis. 53821. All letters
must be signed and include an address and phone number. All letters will be
published with credit to the author - we will not run unsigned or anonymous
letters. We ask readers to limit themselves to one letter per month. We reserve
the right to edit letters for grammar and space. This forum is meant to be a
place for the public to express their opinion, it will not be used for personal
feuds. "Thank you" messages are not accepted as letter to the editor. Letters
seeking genealogy information will not be published. Letters written by or about
someone running for political office will not be printed in the last paper
before elections. **** Emailed letters to the editor will be accepted if there
is a phone number included so we can validate who the sender is. Editorials do
not necessarily reflect the opinions of The Courier Press or our advertisers.
They reflect the opinions of the author.
We are unable to provide genealogy research or past editions research on your behalf, however, for information not on this website, started in 2000, you can go to the Prairie du Chien Memorial Library, 125 S. Wacouta, Hours Mon. - Thurs. 10 am-8pm, Fri. 10 am- 5pm, Sat. 10am - 2pm. Phone 608-326-6211. Past editions are on microfiche (and printable).
