Good team chemistry athleticism to propel Hornets By Ted Pennekamp A key to the success of the Wauzeka-Steuben boys basketball team this season will be how quickly they can adapt to the coaching change and how well the
bench can contribute said new Coach Matt Mezera. Mezera said that a lack of size will be a challenge that the Hornets will have to overcome this season. Good team chemistry and athleticism will help the
team to take on this challenge and do well he said. The Hornets have six returning letterwinners to provide experienced leadership as Wauzeka-Steuben strives to improve upon last year's 8-13 overall record.
Assistant Coach Jim Wagner will help to prepare the Hornets to take on top Ridge and Valley foes such as Seneca North Crawford and Kickapoo. The experienced Hornets should be right in the mix in challenging for the conference crown. "The conference should be very competitive top to bottom," said Mezera. |
